The Blessing & Family Ministry of Subregion 3 had its first “Start Smart” Level 3 Blessing Workshop at the Chicago Family Church the weekend after Thanksgiving. Debby Gullery was the presenter. She gave warm and animated presentations of “Purpose and Value of Marriage and the Blessing” which gave True Parents’ words and a thorough explanation of the difference between the Blessing and marriage. There were also lectures about how to handle differences and having a vision for a strong marriage, among others.
The participants included six second-generation matched couples and one first-generation couple. The size of the group made it easy to have lively and interesting discussions. There were several second-generation support staff who did a fantastic job at answering any and all questions. It was a wonderful and inspirational experience for everyone involved.
