On December 9, the KEA Church of New Jersey held a Matching Preparation Seminar with John Abelseth as the presenter. About 30 participants joined the seminar, including young adult children and their parents who have second and third-generation children.
John Abelseth and the KEA staff explained the procedure of the matching process, introduced the matching website, how to contact the other families, among other things, in an easy-to-understand manner with the experiences of the instructor himself and various other cases.
We feel that this seminar was an opportunity to see new ways of thinking about the Blessing and matching process, and have found new attitudes toward finding matching partners have been presented. The seminar also confirmed and reinforced the importance of cooperation between children and parents in the matching process.
Through this seminar, we felt that we could extend the Blessing to our community. Thank you very much to everyone at the BFM staff who helped John, who went out of his way from Canada to facilitate and present the seminar, and to Crescentia, who supported John and made this seminar possible.
