Name: Yuko Iwasaki
Spouse:  Kozo Iwasaki
Birth Date: August 28, 1966
Blessing Date: July 5, 2007 (30,000 Blessing Couple)
Ascension Date: April 17, 2020

Yuko Iwasaki (Ichikawa) was born on August 28, 1966 in Uenohara City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan as the first child of Kiyokatu & Teiko Ichikawa. She has two younger sisters.

She really loved cooking, especially baking. She often prepared tasty dishes or baked goods whenever someone was sick, or for church gatherings and, of course, for her beloved husband Kozo. She enjoyed collecting nicknacks and also watching TV dramas.

She had such a beautiful smile. Her words were always so kind to people and were the expression of her loving, companionate nature.

She joined the Unification Movement in 1993 in Hachijouji, Tokyo. She had difficulty at first understanding Divine Principle and True Parents, but after listening to True Father’s passionate speeches at a Jeju Island workshop in Korea, she knew this was the group she wanted to follow.

She came to the United States in February of 2008 to join her husband and attended the Miami Family Church. They started their family in March of that year and in the same year moved to Orlando, FL. They moved to Las Vegas in August of 2016.

Yuko became ill in March of 2020. She went to see a doctor on April 9 where she was hospitalized and diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. On April 16, she developed complications with pneumonia from the Leukemia and was then admitted to the ICU and ascended on April 17, 2020.

    Yuko-san,
I will never forget that you came to Hawaii as a missionary and always smiled in the hot sun every day.
The footprint of love you left in Hawaii will last forever.

Thank you for your kind and smile with love from the bottom of my heart.
