Yayoi Kageyama was born in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture of Japan on October 26, 1961. She is the daughter of Masaru and Masami Nakamori. Her younger brother, Yoshikazu, preceded her in death.
Yayoi grew up with a very vibrant and happy personality. After graduating from college, she worked as a clerk in a hotel’s front desk until 1982, when she joined the Unification Church and became a full time evangelist and fundraiser. She first visited the USA in 1986 and worked in Texas for a short time before returning to Japan, where she became involved in the health and wellness industry.
In 1987, she got engaged to Kimiaki Kageyama, and two years later they participated in the 1275 Couples Marriage Blessing in Korea.
In 1994, she joined her husband in America. Together they worked at Camp Sunrise in New York, where they were cherished by brothers and sisters who came there for education and relaxation. Over the years, Yayoi continued to be publically active as a Kodan NYC leader from 2007 to the present, even as she became the mother of a beautiful baby boy, Akihito.
Yayoi is survived by her husband Kimiaki, son Akihito, her mother Masami, nephew Kenta and his wife Leona, her niece Maika, and other relatives, and the many, many friends who cherished her presence in their lives.
We will remember Yayoi for her faith in God and True Parents, her love and loyalty to her husband, and devotion to her only son Akihito.
We pray for her as she makes her transition to her eternal home.
Seonghwa Ceremony
Seonghwa ceremony will take place on Tuesday December 29.
The Viewing will start at 9 a.m., and the Seonghwa will begin at 11 a.m.
The ceremony will be at Arthur’s Funeral Home, 200 Nassau Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
The Won Jeon (burial) ceremony will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, Long Island, immediately following the Seonghwa.

My husband studied at the Japanese Church Queens Center in 1980, 2 years before you joined the Church. Thank you for devoting so much energy in New York City. It’s a zoo, but worth the effort, heart and devotion that you invested in the City (all boroughs). Rest in peace, and I’m sure that your loyalty will shine in the next realm.

certainly like your website but you have to take a look at the spelling on quite a
few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very troublesome to tell the reality however I’ll certainly come again again.
