Our dear, beloved brother, Michael Yurechko, of the Clifton Family Church community, passed into the spirit world on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Michael met our True Parents and joined the Unification Movement more than 30 years ago after seeking a higher purpose of life. He will always be remembered by his generous heart and great love for God and God's creation, shining through his many stories.
He is survived by his twenty-year-old daughter Nin Yurechko. Let’s support Nin during this important and special time, and pray for Michael's victorious transition to a glorious new life in the spiritual world as he joins his wife Seiko Yurechko.

Michael John Yurechko was born on April 25, 1953 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was the second son in a family of four boys, and always the most adventurous brother. He grew up playing in the backwoods of his family’s home in West Long Branch, NJ and graduated from Shore Regional High School. He left home soon after to become an instructor with NOLS, a wilderness education school and spent his youth leading expeditions and climbing mountains all across the states.
When Mike felt he had reached the peak of his climbing career, he decided to start seeking a higher purpose, and met the church in his thirties. He attended the 30,000 couple Blessing in Seoul, South Korea in 1992 and started his family life back in his home state with his lovely wife Seiko Yurechko.
Although Mike had given up his lifestyle of outrageous adventures, he and Seiko embarked together on the ultimate expedition into a new frontier – raising their daughter. He settled down, but never lost his curious spirit and love for nature.
Mike was always a teacher, passing on his extensive knowledge and immense love for creation. He will always be remembered for his generosity and his eagerness to share God’s love through his stories. He will be dearly missed, but he is joining his beloved wife to continue their eternal adventure together with God.
Seonghwa Ceremony
The Seonghwa ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 13, at 8 PM at the Clifton Family Church, 78 DeMott Ave, Clifton, New Jersey 07011.

I’ll never forget when you used your mountain climbing skills to put in through the wall air conditioning units from the outside of the New Yorker. It was a treat to know such an adventurous person. See you on the other side. God Bless.

I met Mike in 1992 at UTS. We started the UTS Club. “ultimate thrill seekers”. Mike led hikes in the region for students. He was an uncle to our then young children. I remember he bought my son a big toy fire engine for Christmas. We never kept in touch but memories of Mikes generous heart remain. God Bless

Mike and I had many adventures during the years we spent in the west, climbing everything that didn’t move, hopping trains, building cabins in Canada and Washington State. I think of him often. We’ve come far from our high school days in his parents’ basement in New Jersey where we planned our journey. Best wishes to all of his family and friends.
