In Memory of Keizo Jumonji

Keizo Jumonji was born and grew up in Kindaichi, Japan as the third son to Goro and Kyoko Jumonji. In 1970 he graduated from Fukuoka Tech High School, where he was Captain of their Tennis Team. After graduation Jumonji-san worked for 12 years as a machinist for Nissan Corp. in Yokohama Japan. He has three brothers and one sister.

In 1982 he joined the Unification Movement in Yokohama Japan, then in 1985 he moved to the USA where he worked on projects in the NY area including the East Sun Building, New Yorker Hotel window replacement project and the East Garden building project. Then in 1986 he joined the China project in Boston where he worked on developing a new automobile building process for China. Keizo then worked for Saeilo Machinery and later Saeilo Motors. He started his own business – Jumonji Auto Service in 2005 which he operated until his retirement in 2018.

In 1986 Keizo and Toshie were matched by Rev. Moon. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1988 to be near his fiancΓ© and then to Houston, Texas in 1989. Keizo and Toshie were Blessed in Marriage in New York City on 4/8/1989. They had their first daughter Micah in 1991, then Lisa in 1993 and Elica in 2000. Everyone could see the deep love that Keizo had for his daughters, who were the stars of his life. One of the recent highlights of his life was the birth of his grandson Caleb in 2014. He loved playing and spending time with Caleb and his daughter’s family.

Jumonji-san has always been a dependable volunteer at the Houston Family Church where he will be deeply missed by his community of faith. He also loved to travel and participated in many of his Church’s national projects.

Keizo departed life on October 22nd 2019, he leaves his wife Toshie, children Micah, Lisa and Elica, son-in-law Young Bohle, grandson Caleb, and his family in Japan. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and his community.
