Our beloved and dear brother, Gaston Kisile Kamangu, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, ascended to the spirit world on September 3, after a battle with Cancer. Gaston joined our movement in 1990 in the Congo and took on various leadership roles and responsibilities since then. He has been dedicated to teaching the Divine Principle ever since moving to the USA in 2013. He is loved and cherished by his family and many friends in his local and international community.
He is survived by his wife Claudine Muhungu, and his children: Destine, Fortune, Josue, Sarafina, Berthina, Martin, Benedicte, Rachel, Andrico, Alliance and Marina.
Let us join together and support Gaston's family during this important and special time, and offer our prayers for his victorious transition to a glorious new life in the spiritual world.

Gaston Kisile Kamangu was born as the second child of three children on August 28, 1964 to Alphonse & Mayemba Kamangu. He was brought up in the Catholic faith. However, as he grew he set out on his own to search for the truth. After he was married to his wife Claudine Muhungu he visited the Pentecostal church she served in but did not like it. In 1990 he met the Unification Church. He knew this was what he was looking for. He joined first and then his wife. Together they began dedicating their lives to serving God. They took part in the 30,000 couples blessing on August 25, 1992. He soon took on leadership roles in the church. He served as the State/Provincial Pastor in Katanga Province of Congo for 12 years, and 7 years as the local pastor in the city of Kalemie. He also worked for the International and Inter-religious Federation and Universal Peace Federation.
He is the father of 11 children: Destine, Fortune, Josue, Sarafina, Berthina, Martin, Benedicte and Rachel (biological), Andrico, Alliance and Marina (adopted) and was a father figure to Belinda, Florence, Kahinga and Johari and many more. Mr. Kisile is a great man who really walked the path of the will of our Heavenly Parent. His lifestyle has been a living testimony for his family, friends and relatives. He dedicated his life for the sake of others in all aspects of life. We will always remember him for his strong will and his vertical life of faith.
He came to America on December 3, 2013. After establishing his family in Grand Rapids, he began a Divine Principle study program. Each night when he came home from work, he taught about the Divine Principle to guests who came to his home. He was diagnosed with sarcoma, a very aggressive cancer, in November of 2015. He had great faith as he battled the disease. However, God called him to the spiritual world on September 3, 2016 at 10:30 AM. As he made his transition he was surrounded by his family singing his favorite song, “Song of Victory.” He will be greatly missed by his wife, his family and friends, members of Family Federation for World Peace & Unification around the world and specifically in Michigan. Our love for him is eternal.

Let his soul rests in peace.
I know this Dad like many others , to be a gentleman. He was a man of very great faith and conviction. Always available and ready to serve. This is assuredly one of our hero who has gone in . I just pray Heaven to grant him a special place alongside all the others who went before him, and who constitute the vast sphere of unification:

I am deeply touched by the ascent of pastor Gaston Kisile. I lived is joining in the unification family and its rapid development in the faith as member and leader. We still need him here and also in Michigan. Fate has decided otherwise we will continue to love him forever.

It was my greatest honor to meet Gaston and his wife a few month before his passing. Their every moment’s attention to each others needs, their spontanious sharing of their love for God and True Parents and their life of attendance and faith with others…..I have never witnessed to that extent before. What a beautiful victorious life for God and True Parents! Thank you Gaston!

Dad I can’t believe you are gone for me it’s just like you went for a mission and you will call us and come back after some months or a year but this is not the same. I really miss you. We can feel your absence in the house especially hdk time were you could explain clearly the principle to us. Dad you are a hero to alot, I am thankful to God and true parents for giving us a father like you. Dad one thing I will always remember from you is ” my children always ask yourself if God and true parents are happy of what you doing” I miss your words, smile and our conversation dad!!. I know this was the time we really needed you physically but it seems like this is the most important time God need you there.. I will always miss you dad.
