Dennis Thomas Williams was born August 22, 1925 in Washington, D.C.

Upon graduating from university, he lived in the Bronx, NY working as an engineer for the Water Division of the New York City. He retired at the age of 63.

Dennis returned to college at NYU and Pratt Institute obtaining two more degrees. He began writing as a columnist for a New York newspaper on the arts and film industry.

He loved to travel and visited various countries. Dennis amassed a collection of artworks from counties he visited. These were some of his prized possessions.

In 1996, he met Mrs. Sung Bok Hsu at the age of 69. He studied the Divine Principle, the teachings of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, and became a member of the Unification Church. Encouraged by Mrs. Hsu, he sought the matching and blessing ceremony. Dennis was introduced to his wife, Keiko, a missionary at the time in Brooklyn, NY. They attended the 1999 Blessing Ceremony in New York City and began their life together. Dennis entered the Unification Theological Seminary in Barrytown, NY graduating in 2002. He and Keiko moved to Columbus, Ohio afterward upon the invitation of Mrs. Hsu.

In 2004, Dennis attended the Middle East Peace Initiative in Jerusalem gaining much inspiration. In 2005, he volunteered his services to the Hurricane Katrina clean-up. As a diabetic, he suffered a stroke upon his return to Columbus. In 2006, he had his second stroke. His health would slowly continue to decline for the next 13 years despite Keiko’s loving care.

On June 23, 2019, at 12:35 AM, Dennis ascended peacefully at home with his beloved.

    It was a delight meeting and interacting with him in the years when he was responsive. He was full of life, love, and intelligence. He’s free now from the body that kept him so frustrated. May he have a great ascension

    Grandpa Dennis, together with my husband Jonathan and our children Timothy, Titus, and Thomas, we want to express our gratitude to you and your wife aunt Keiko for always welcoming us with warmth and great smiles each time we visited you. I always felt home when I see and hugged you, feeling the love of my father through you. It’s an honor for my family to have met you and served you and aunt Keiko. You will be very missed, grandpa Dennis! Have a Joyful Ascension and may you Rest In Peace! To aunt Keiko, my husband truly RESPECT you! And, I called you a SAINT!
