Dale Frandsen was born in Iowa on Aug 12, 1947 to Leona Sophia Jensen, a housewife, and Louis Frandsen, a plumber. Dale’s parents owned some apartments which planted a seed of home ownership in him. Dale earned a teaching degree, but while in his twenties his father passed away.
Dale was looking for purpose in San Francisco when he met his spiritual father, Stan Paczynski, who himself was only one week in the church and was passing church flyers out on the street. Dale continued coming back to the church and he joined in January 1978 at age 30. Dale worked at a golf course at Aetna Springs. Dale witnessed to his mother and she joined as an outspoken supporter of the Des Moines, Iowa church area.
Dale went to Korea in January 1989 to receive the Marriage Blessing by True Parents with Marlin Judith Navarro Jimenez from Costa Rica in the 2075 Couples Blessing on January 12, 1989. Judith, who had joined the movement in 1986, was nine years younger than Dale, but she was the first Costa Rican member to receive the Marriage Blessing. She was a missionary in Mexico, Korea, and America.
After one year in Korea, Dale and Judith, then pregnant, returned to America. Dale found work in retail products, which was a steady source of income for his family. Dale had no fears to buy houses and even had some built for him. After Kristina was born, soon Andrew and Lisa were born.
Dale and Judith were very friendly and outgoing, and while Dale worked, Judith took care of their family and she also made many connections with all of her neighbors.
Dale’s mother moved back in with them in their home in Adelanto, California and passed away on April 1, 1999 and was buried in Iowa. Judith ascended on April 14, 1999, just ten years after they were Blessed in marriage in 1989. This double loss deeply affected Dale and his children, yet he continued on, working and taking care of his family.
Dale’s eldest daughter, Kristina, married Devon Gustafson on May 15, 2015, and they live in their home in Phelan, California. Andrew and Lisa share a home they bought together nearby in Apple Valley, California.
While living in his home in Arkansas that he built, he began to feel his health was failing and decided to drive back to be with his children in California. Dale collapsed in Kristina’s home on January 12, 2018, 29 years after receiving the Marriage Blessing, and Kristina did CPR on her father to save him. He recovered, but later collapsed a second time and stayed in the ICU at Desert Valley Hospital in Apple Valley.
Dale ascended in the hospital on March 1, 2018 surrounded by his family, friends, and neighbors. Dale is survived by his children and son-in-law, and his elder brother, Kenneth Frandsen in Florida.
Dale will be laid to rest next to his beloved Judith in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina, California, where his Seonghwa and Won Jeon Ceremonies will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Judith’s younger brother, Rene, came from Costa Rica to attend and had also come for Judith’s passing. Judith’s younger sister, Leonor, also came from Costa Rica.

My wife and I were blessed in the same blessing group, and stayed in Korea to help with Segye Ilbo for nine months. When we all came back, we shared a two-bedroom apartment in Highland Park, CA. All four of us got along so harmoniously. It is still a fond memory. I look forward to seeing them both in the life beyond. Divine Principle gives us the sure comfort of knowing that we have our friends eternally. Through “death”, we are temporarily separated, that’s all. Peace to you, my friends…

I knew Dale and his mother when I spent 6 months at Aetna Springs in the 80’s. It was a precious time and I was moved by Dale’s quiet kindness and friendliness. God bless him on his journey home.

I remember visiting my wife Ingrid in Taegu Korea in 1989
Judith was a good friend of Ingrid
One day the korean leader told Judith that she was taking too much time to wash and iron Dales´ clothes , he worked as a teacher there .
Judith looked at him straight and summarized the essence of Father Moon´s teachings with her then basic English .
She replied :” One Husband NOT two husbands ”

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the structure of
your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it
better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images.
