Our beloved sister Anita Wells ascended to the spirit world on March 14, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Anita was born on March 25, 1940 and joined our movement in the 70’s. She spent time working in Canada and in the USA. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving sister with beautiful, strong spirit.

Testimony by Mitch Dixon

Anita was loved by all that knew her. She was very kind and a very positive sister. I was often impressed by how positive she was. She was a very likable and down-to-earth person. I have seen her in Toronto several times in the last couple of years.

Anita suffered from cancer for the last year or so. I last visited her in the hospital on March 4, 2018. She was just skin and bones then so I knew her time was short. As members, together let’s pray for her smooth transition into the spirit world.

Testimony by Lilly Tadin

Anita joined the “traveling team” in her hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia in 1974. The church wasn’t so developed at that time, and members traveled from city to city fundraising. Anita was in Toronto and Ontario church, as well. Later on, she went to the Buffalo church doing various activities and fundraising. In the mid 90’s, she was in Toronto doing witnessing and Blessing activities with Japanese missionaries. I recall that during True Parents’ visit in Toronto in 1995 at the Royal York Hotel, Anita was able to receive a headdress from BC First Nation’s Chief that was presented to True Father. Anita, together with Mrs. InAe Lee (72 blessed couple) and a few Japanese missionaries stayed at the reserve near Ottawa and shared the Blessing with a number of Native people.

Testimony by Steve and Kayoko Pecarsky

Anita lived with us in the church center in Coquitlam, British Columbia back in the 90’s. We were with her when she received a faxed photo of her matching partner from Africa. She last had contact with us after her heart attack back in 2012. She was an extraordinarily powerful and spiritual sister, who had no fear of witnessing to anybody, anywhere. I remember her telling us stories of standing up in Christian churches in the middle of a sermon to correct the sermon, based on the Divine Principle perspective.

Interestingly, my wife and I were just speaking about her a couple of days ago, wondering where she was and how she was doing. We are shocked and saddened that she has passed and that she suffered over the past years. We’re sure there will be no greater advocate for True Parents in heaven than our dear sister, Anita.

You Stood by our family and encouraged us to fight the most deadly war with the Child Protective Service about protecting our blessed couples children from New York. You sent us internal and external
food with the most beautiful letters of encouragement that will never be forgotten. Didn’t know that you were sick, May Heaven open all 12 doors for you as you join our true father in Heaven. We will always treasure you.
