On September 28, the Blessing & Family Ministry of Subregion 4 held a Level 2 Blessing Workshop in Dallas, Texas. The purpose of the workshop was to prepare first and second-generation candidates to attend the upcoming Cosmic Blessing in 2020.
The workshop was attended by about 27 second-generation brothers and sisters and one first-generation brother.
The program was developed with support from the National BFM staff who provided helpful information on the format of the Blessing, as well as materials needed for the workshop.
Lecture presentation was provided by Peggy Yujiri, Sub Region 4 Matching Supporter from Colorado. The lecture presentation included topics such as: What Do I Bring to the Table? Matching Smarts, Getting Real and Understanding the Family Matching Process.
Group discussions were held throughout the workshop where insights and inspirations about the matching process were discussed. Testimonies about the matching experience were provided by young second generation couples who have gone through the matching process.
Question and answer sessions were held throughout the workshop. Because of the open and welcoming atmosphere, participants were encouraged to ask questions honestly, even the difficult ones.
At the end of the program, participants were encouraged to talk to their parents about the matching, and seek support from their pastors and Matching Supporter.
