We want to wish a happy 42ndh anniversary to the 1800 Couples of the 1975 Holy Marriage Blessing!
On February 8, 1975, our True Parents officiated over the historic 1800 Couples’ Marriage Blessing Ceremony in Seoul, South Korea. Participants of this Blessing had a special mission to serve the world, and approximately ninety American Unificationists served with distinction as missionaries to countries worldwide.
On the occasion of this Marriage Blessing, True Father said:
“On February 8, 1975, I performed the 1800 Couples’ Marriage Blessing. Now that Unificationists have made their debut, first on an individual and then on a family basis, not only the members of my family but all Unificationists should become known throughout the world. Since this is God’s will, we must become living monuments that represent and testify to this victory on the family level expanding our families on earth centering on True Parents. With the 1800 Couples’ Marriage Blessing, The Blessing has entered its global era; hence, restoration within the sphere of the family must be resolved.”
At the second anniversary celebration of the 1800 Couples Blessing, True Father gave the following address on February 8, 1977.
“It is more difficult for a man to live together with one woman his whole life long than to conquer the whole universe. Even I often observe and study True Mother. I observe her with interest. I notice that she has this kind of sense and that kind of sense. I think she is very impressed when I speak to her in this way or that way. If I touch a certain part of her heart, I can guess she will feel such and such. Through observation and studying, we can recognize each other’s different worlds and have a deep exchange between us.”
