Our beloved brother, Thomas Andrew Peterson, from Connecticut Family Church has ascended to the spirit world on Sunday, June 14, after a sudden heart attack. Tom was a devoted husband and father and very involved in his community. His many friends will sorely miss him. He is survived by his wife Michie, his children, Andrew, George, Sarah, and Truman, and his grandson Nolan.

Let us support Tom's family during this important time and offer our prayers for his victorious transition to a glorious new life in the spiritual world.

Following is a testimony by Sarah Peterson.

Thomas Andrew Peterson, son of Thomas and Janet Peterson, was born June 14, 1956 in Portland, Maine and was raised in Queens, NY. He grew up with a passion for music and sports, and was a die-hard Mets fan. Tom joined the Unification Church in October 1975. Since then, he has faithfully served his family, friends, and community.

He proudly served on MFT and as a security guard to True Family at East Garden. He was also a missionary in Calcutta, India for three years where he worked with Mother Theresa and her institution. Tom and Michie were Blessed in Marriage by True Parents in 1982 and raised together a beautiful Family. Tom was a loving husband to his wife, Michie, and a devoted father to his four children: Andrew, George, Sarah, and Truman; as well as proud grandfather to Nolan.

He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

The Seonghwa Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 20, at 10 AM at:

A viewing will take place at the Lester Gee Funeral Home on Friday, June 19 from 7PM to 9PM.
