Our beloved elder sister, Mrs. Mal Sook Lee, of the 36 couples and a very early disciple of our True Parents, ascended to the Spirit World on Sunday morning, April 15, in Pasadena, Maryland at the age of 86. Mrs. Lee has been one of the early pioneer members in our movement, and one of the sisters who was expelled from Ewha Women's University. Mrs. Lee has been in America since 1973, and had managed the Jin-A Korean School at the Jacob House in Tarrytown for 30 years until 2008. Mrs. Lee is highly respected and loved by our families in America and in Korea. She will be forever remembered for her unwavering faith and great love for God and True Parents. She is survived by her three children and five grandchildren.

True Mother sent a special Calligraphy for Mrs. Lee on her ascension with the following inscription: "A Representative that earnestly devoted and sacrificed herself to victoriously regain God's Homeland."

Let us join together in support of Mrs. Lee's family during this important and special time, and offer our prayers for her victorious transition to a glorious new life in the spiritual world.

Following is a biography of Mrs. Lee as well as information about her viewing and Seonghwa ceremony.

Sincerely,

Our family is grateful and feels indebted to Mrs. Lee for her kind and dedicated service to the children in Jacob House, which allowed for my wife to do the mobilization of blessed wives in the US.
I also had a chance to know and appreciate Mrs. Lee’s sacrificial work as a father and a teacher.
May her and her family’s blessing be complete.

Beloved Mrs. Lee and family, I will always remember you from Jacob’s House where you so generously gave your time as the *onni*, elder sister, to us, younger sisters from around the world. Your presence was comforting and uplifting. I pay for your Ascension to the arms of Our Heavenly Parent and of your husband, who are waiting to embrace you. Kaarina Jager from Roswell, NM

What a precious soul Mrs. Lee is. I often saw her at East Garden attending our True Parents. Although her husband died very young, her faith never wavered and she was truly a pure and devoted disciple of our True Parents. She had a beautiful spirit, which I am sure she will carry to heaven as she continues her work on the other side. To all of her family, our prayers are with you now and with your lovely mother.

The Seong Hwa last night was so beautiful. On behalf of myself and my wife, Diane (O’Brien) Abendroth we offer our condolences. I also want to add that my wife loved Mrs. Lee tremendously and has referred to her countless times throughout our 36 years of marriage.

I have never met a more kind and loving soul, a true daughter of God and True Parents, and a pioneer who gave of herself completely and unselfishly to others. What a woman of pure faith, love, and devotion! She is an example of goodness and light who will be sorely missed in this world. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. God Bless you Mrs. Lee in your journey with True Father in your new eternal home!
