Ralph Kenneth Hendricks (known by most as Kenn, Uncle Ken, and Appa) was born on December 5, 1948 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Oscar and Clementine Hendricks. From a young age, he had a passion for music and the arts. After graduating from Dickinson High School, Kenn dedicated two years to the U.S. military during the Vietnam War.

In August 1974, Kenn met the Unification Church in Fargo, North Dakota and officially joined in September of that year. In July 1982, he was married to Akemi Ono from Japan in a memorable Holy Marriage Blessing Ceremony of 2,075 couples. Today, he is survived by his wonderful family.

Kenn has served his community, friends, and family abundantly. He served Rev. and Mrs. Moon directly in various events, represented Mongolia as its National Messiah, offered his musical talent at gatherings, shot a feature-length film (“Dakota Sunrise”) in the North Dakota Badlands, was a strong supporter of the Landmark Forum, and filled every heart he met with laughter and joy. Kenn truly was, in his own words, a “prophet” of God.
