Jeffrie Carl Heuft ascended to the spirit world early in the morning on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the age of 65. Jeffrie was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 1st, 1952 and was the fourth child of John and Mary Heuft. He has seven siblings; John, Jackie, Jarard, Judy, Jan, Jerome, and Joseph. Jeffrie spent most of his childhood in Royal Oak and Williamston, Michigan, and graduated from Williamston High School. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Judy and Jerome.
Jeffrie joined the Unification Church in 1973. He was Blessed in marriage to Kiyomi Heuft at Madison Square Garden on July 1, 1982. Jeffrie and Kiyomi had two children, Crystal and Max. They raised their children in Royal Oak, Michigan and moved to Columbus, OH in 2006.
Jeffrie was an avid music lover. He enjoyed listening to almost every genre of music, but particularly loved the Carpenters, Bread, John Williams, and John Denver. His love for music was passed on to both his children. He was a true Star Wars fanatic, and has been known to spend hours talking about the symbolism and depth in the movies!
The Ohio Family Church (4303 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH) will be holding the viewing and Seonghwa Ceremony (celebration of life) on Tuesday, July 3. The viewing will take place from 6:00-7:00 PM with the Seonghwa Ceremony to follow at 7:00 PM. The Wonjeon Ceremony (burial) will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 5 at Forest Grove Cemetery (8270 Cemetery Pike, Plain City, OH 43064).

I have many wonderful memories of Jeff and I blitzing the gulf coast of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana in December 1975. We had a condition of never selling only one of whatever candy we were selling. Jeff would sell two for five and when people would ask “how much is one?” he would say $10 — and before the shock could wear off, Jeff say “why don’t you get 2 for 5. You save 5 dollars and get one free.” Jeff had a spirit that could get away with it every time.

Wow!I had always wondered what happened to Jeff since the mid 80’s when we worked together for a few years distributing Ginseng Up in Brooklyn ( Beverage Corp, JEM Beverages and Alex and Ginseng). What a diligent worker he was driving Truck #5 in NYC. I have many great memories of Jeff. Peace on your way home. Condolences to your family.

I remember Jeff well during our time together in the Detroit church. When I was struggling to start an insurance business, Jeff and his wife were among my first customers. He raised two wonderful children who are both musicians and, also, successfully blessed in marriage. I would say he had a good life. We send Jeff off with great joy!

Jeff was one of 2 brothers in Sept.1973 who walked up to me outside Madison Garden,NYC and told me the Universe was made of positivity and negativity. I said that “sounded groovy”& wound up later at our church on 71St, joining, loving and crying with our True Parents ever since. Thank you Jeffrie
