Our beloved sister from Canada, Fumiko White, passed into the spirit world on March 30, 2015 after battling cancer. She is survived by her husband Douglas and her daughter Mica. A faithful daughter of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, Fumiko worked for many years in Japan, USA and Canada, following God's call and will with a loving and positive personality.

Let us support Fumiko's family during this important time and pray for her victorious transition to a glorious new life in the spiritual world.

Following is a biography and testimony from her husband and her spiritual mother.

Following is a testimony by Keiko Van Loon.

Fumiko White was born on June 19, 1949 in Yokohama, Japan. She was the youngest child in her family. Before joining the Unification Church, she worked at a studio where she drew and painted pictures on material used to make very expensive and beautiful kimonos.  She was a highly skilled and artistic. She was a soft-spoken, petite lady with a good quality character and sense of humor.

After she joined the church, she did home church activities in Inogasira, a suburb of Tokyo in an area that was thought of as an artist village.

After doing home church, Fumiko went to work with Sekai Nippo, the church’s newspaper.

She was Blessed in marriage with Douglas White along with 2,075 couples in 1982. Fumiko went back to Japan briefly, returning to Louisville, Kentucky in 1983. Douglas joined her there late in 1984. They continued working together as regional missionaries in the states of Kentucky and Michigan, until in 1988 when they left the USA for Toronto and accepted city leadership of Vancouver.

In 1991 after True Father divided Canada into four regions, they were assigned to the Eastern region (Halifax, Nova Scotia), so they drove more than 7,000 kilometers from western Canada to the Maritimes. Mica was born in 1994 while they were in Halifax and in 1995 they moved to Toronto where they worked with supporting the Japanese sisters and various church programs until the present day.

Fumiko had a deep faith in God and True Parents. When dealing with challenges, she always had God, True Parents, spirit world and her ancestors in mind and she could overcome with faith and effort.

Fumiko was diagnosed with lung cancer in late July of 2014, but despite the pain and hardship she remained grateful until the end.  While she was dealing with her illness, Fumiko was positive-minded, grateful and appreciative. She even seemed to reach a higher spiritual level through it.  Even then, she tried to live for her family and for others.
