12-year old Chihiro Wylie, a beautiful and precious second-generation daughter of heaven, passed away suddenly, but peacefully in her sleep on December 12.
Chihiro is remembered by family and friends as a young girl bubbling with love, joy, and happiness. She lived each day with cheerfulness and the desire to spread smiles and joy with everyone she met. Many were impressed by her inner beauty, her warm smile and pure heart.
Chihiro enjoyed ballet, cooking, sewing, reading books, drawing and most of all—learning Japanese. She displayed her deep love of her family with constant and energetic devotion. Her most recent dream was to pursue a career in forensics and work for the FBI. One of the family’s most beloved memories is when she played Clara in the Nutcracker. She is remembered only with love.
Another challenge faced by the family is the recent hospitalization of Chihiro’s older brother, Tomoya, who on November 27 was rushed to the emergency room and spent nearly two weeks in intensive care. He is still in the hospital and is slowly recovering.
Chihiro’s parents, Maurice and Naoko, were Blessed in marriage by True Parents in 2001. They are devastated by the tragic situations of both of their children and are quite burdened by the hospital and funeral bills.
