Antonietta was born in Southern Italy in 1935. She was the second of five children. She attended the University of Bari where she graduated with a doctorate degree in French literature. Following her graduation, she taught French for over twenty years. She and her husband, Andrea Mundula, joined the Italian Unification Movement in 1976. In the Italian Church, she is well remembered and very much appreciated for her unique mission of visiting each Church member’s parents with the challenging task of helping them accept the “strange” choice their children had made when they joined the Church. She drove across Italy, from the Alps to Sicily several times, and visited every parent’s home, even if it was in the most remote village, sometimes facing rejection and even persecution. But through her steadfast faith, love, and perseverance, she was victorious in her goal of changing most parents’ hearts and helping them overcome their worries and negative feelings towards the Church.
After receiving True Parents’ Blessing in Camberg, Germany in 1981, she joined her husband in New York where he was working for the Master Marine boat building company. In 1984, she and her husband joined the IOWC and traveled in a motorhome to different cities of the US east coast, until they were directed to stop and settle in West Virginia, where they devoted themselves to ministers’ work for the following five years. They moved to North Carolina in 1989, where the family’s roots have remained since. Two years later, she and her husband were especially blessed with the offering of a child, a girl, followed by that of a son the next year.
Unfortunately, around twenty years ago, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and a little bit later, breast cancer. This greatly affected the family, considering that the children were still very young. Eventually, the stress placed on the family due to the Alzheimer’s disease reached a breaking point and the decision was made for her to return to Italy. She departed for Italy in 2008 and shortly after arrival, was placed in a nursing home. She continued to fight her cancer, which had come and gone a few times over the years. On December 12, 2018, due to complications from flu, her health took a dramatic decline and the following day she departed for the Spiritual World.
Antonietta is remembered for her unwavering faith in God and True Parents and for always working very hard no matter the task at hand. She was very much loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Andrea, her two children, Eliana and Samuel, and her three brothers and one sister in Italy.

Antonietta was projected toward others. Undeniably she had the heart of a mother always concerned with the well-being of a person no matter his or her spiritual state. Her faith in True Father was absolute, that’s why she was such a successful itinerary worker for Heavenly Father. Together with Andrea and their kids they did so much for True Parents. She will be missed greatly.
