Our beloved Sister, Hiromi Kitchens, of the Belvedere Family Community, ascended to the Spirit World on Sunday, November 19, after a courageous battle with cancer. Hiromi met True Parents in Japan in 1975 and received the Blessing with Robert Kitchens in 1982. They have been a valuable part of the New York area community for close to 30 years. Hiromi has served in many capacities over the years in America, working with IOWC and with Clergy. Since settling in New York, she worked with KODAN and was always very involved in church activities, while raising her family and being a loving wife and mother. Her family and many friends will miss and cherish her life and legacy of love and devotion.
Hiromi is survived by her husband Robert, son Jeremy, sister Kumi, and numerous extended family members.
Let us join together to support Hiromi's family, and pray for her victorious transition to a glorious new life in the spiritual world, and her settlement in Heaven with Heavenly Parent True Father.
Following is Hiromi's biography and information about her Seonghwa ceremony from her family and the Belvedere Community Pastor, Dr. Drissa Kone.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ki Hoon Kim

Hiromi Kitchens was born February 29, 1956 in Hokkaido, Japan and lived there until she was 2 years old. She then moved to Miyazaki, the area where her family was from. She was athletically active as a young girl and would enthusiastically play until dark. She started piano lessons in kindergarten and was interested in art as well. She studied music in college in Okayama, Japan. It was there that she met the Unification movement in 1975. Hiromi graduated from University in 1978. She ultimately used her musical training and was teaching piano students in her Ossining home.
Hiromi received the Blessing on October 14, 1982 in Seoul, Korea with Robert Kitchens. She arrived in America in September 1983. Hiromi worked with Gary Fleischer’s IOWC team in Los Angeles, toured the Western United States until she settled in Wisconsin and worked with ministers during the Interdenominational Conference for Clergy (ICC) days, then served as a bookkeeper in Iowa until 1987. She then went to San Diego, CA and worked in a Japanese restaurant for two years before joining her husband in Ossining, NY in 1989.
Hiromi settled into family life and worked with her husband, as well as being active in Church activities. After years of trying to conceive, she received a son Jeremy in December 1995. Hiromi was a loving and devoted wife and mother and wanted to educate Jeremy with knowledge in all things. Around 2004 she took on the mission of being a Kodan representative for southern NY state and worked to support all Church activities. She coupled that with raising her son and husband. She maintained heartfelt connections with many people both inside and outside the church. People have been moved by her sincerity and devotion to bringing harmony and love to the world.
She is survived by her sister Kumi, her husband Robert, and son Jeremy, as well as a large extended family. Hiromi is moving on to the third level of life and will continue to bring love and light to the Earthly and Heavenly worlds
